Dr. Lori M. Baca began her higher education career 19 years ago in the Department of Business Administration where she has taught 95% of the courses. Today, she is the Chairperson and Associate Professor of Business Administration at Northern New Mexico College. She has served as the Chair of the Business Department since fall of 2012. Under her direction, all the programs in the Department became accredited in 2015. The Bachelor of Project Management is the only accredited program of its kind in the state of New Mexico. Dr. Baca collaborates with other institutions to provide shared courses and to facilitate students in two year programs matriculating to four year programs.
She was the PI for the Perkins grant and is currently the PI for the Technology Transfer Grant through the Airforce Research Laboratory and the Co-PI for the proposed collaboration involving UNM Anderson School of Management, UNM-Los Alamos and Northern New Mexico College to provide educational services to the Los Alamos National Laboratory in the area of project management.
Dr. Baca is an active member of the following boards: Greater Española Valley Community Development Corporation (8 years), Chamita Mutual Domestic Water Association Board (5 years); and Eagle’s Nest Condominium Association in Albuquerque, New Mexico (2 years).

After working >20 years at University of Twente, co-founding NIKOS (Netherlands Institute for Knowledge Intensive Entrepreneurship) I am since 2013 part-time and since 1-1-2020 fully engaged as co-founder in the University Groningen Centre of Entrepreneurship (UGCE). We contribute to the students entrepreneurship competencies to teaching programmes spreading from business administration, health care programs, industrial engineering, Liberal Arts & Science, and several extra curricular courses and events.

Tristan Walters is the Senior Manager (acting) of the Corporate Project Management Office at Sandia National Laboratories. Tristan led the establishment of Sandia’s Corporate PMO in 2016, and since then, has matured the organization into a critical corporate resource that stewards Sandia’s Portfolio, Program, and Project Management capabilities to enable extraordinary project execution in the national interest. The PMO develop, maintains, and improves a consistent suite of corporate policies, processes, and tools; provides project management services that enable program/project success such as mentorship, coaching, project rescue, project launch, and earned value surveillance; and advances the project management competency through strategic university partnerships, consistent and effective recruiting and staffing practices, structured and deliberate career development, and targeted role-based training programs.
Prior to his current management role, Tristan’s Sandia career included managing Payroll Services, where he led a team of represented and non-represented staff to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing and provide payroll related customer service to over 10,000 employees. Prior to that, Tristan was the Project Manager and Lean Six Sigma Black Belt for Controller Operations where he successfully delivered Information Technology Projects and conducted Structured Improvement Activities that improved the efficiency and accuracy of Controller Operations and the Financial and Business Management Center. In 2016 he received an Employee Recognition Award (ERA) for “Exceptional Leadership on high priority 10500 Strategic Initiatives that are enabling the Center to Lead the DOE Complex as a Model Financial Management Organization.” Tristan was also a Project Controls Specialist and Lean Six Sigma Black Belt for the Science and Technology Division and Chief Technology Office where he implemented project management best practices and improved business operations across the division. His experience also includes nuclear weapons program management as an Inter-Project Scheduler and Acting Program Engineer for Sandia External Production where he managed the production of high quality custom components for multiple weapon systems.
